Please read and understand this policy.

Fishing, hunting, hiking, and walking are physically demanding activities which may pose a higher risk to those with heart or respiratory conditions, and others who may not be capable of strenuous activity. Travel to remote wilderness areas can delay search and rescue and the ability to receive medical attention.

Alaska weather and water conditions can change extremely fast; be prepared for the worst and pay attention to your surroundings. The tide swings roughly every six hours and depending on any number of factors can change sea conditions quickly.

A 50% deposit is required to reserve your selected date (dates) 60 days prior to your booking. Reservations that are completed within 60 days of booking, require 50% deposit within 5 days of reservation. Reservations completed within 30 days of booking date require 100% payment at time of booking.

All payments or remaining payments must be received in full prior to departure.

Renter is responsible for acquiring a valid fishing or hunting license to fish, hunt, or conduct any activity requiring a hunting or fishing license within the State of AK. Additionally, Renter is responsible for following and adhering to Alaska Fish and Game Regulations, limits, and seasons.

      General Boating Safety:

      1. The vessel must be operated at speeds that are safe for the location and conditions. No weaving through vessels that are underway, stopped, moored, or at anchor. Scan the area constantly, operate defensively, and avoid aggressive maneuvers. (COLREGS and USCG Rules of the Road shall be used)
The engine shut off cord (red lanyard) must be attached to the operator’s wrist or PFD while underway.
      2. To signal danger or need for assistance, sound air horn or whistle five short blasts.
      3. Boats are not like cars; there are no breaks, regardless of whether the engine is on or not, the vessel is moving unless fastened to the dock.
      4. If anchoring the vessel, do so in a location where other vessels may easily see your vessel. Anchoring may ONLY be done from the bow (front) of the vessel.
      5. Tubing, water skiing, wakeboarding, or knee boarding are not permitted activities under rental agreement.
      6. Navigation rules:
        1. Avoid colliding with another vessel or obstruction at all cost.
        2. When crossing the path of another vessel, always yield to the vessel on your right (starboard).
        3. It is the responsibility of the participant/operator to slow down, steer away, or stop to avoid any and all possible collisions.
        4. If meeting another vessel head on, operator should steer to the right.
        5. When overtaking another vessel, it should be done to the left (port side).
        6. Vessel should yield to a sailboat not under power (sailing).

      RETURN AND REFUND POLICY

Guests will receive a full refund minus a $50 booking fee if canceling more than 60 days prior to their arrival date. Guests canceling between 59 days to 30 days prior to their arrival date will receive a 50% refund (less credit card service charge, if applicable).

Guests canceling less than 30 days prior to their arrival date will not receive a refund. This cancellation policy is driven by the shortened operating season and the near impossibility of filling cancelled dates on short notice.

A 100% refund will be issued in the event that B&B Skiff Rentals cancels due to weather or mechanical problems before departure. Alternatively, you will have the option to reschedule your trip if a boat is available.

You will be charged a 7% cancellation fee if you’ve paid by credit card and require a refund for any reason. No cancellation fee will be charged on refunds of payment by cash or check.
